Meet Repro for All: Michigan Organizer India Everson
"We cannot achieve reproductive freedom without listening to everyone’s voices, including youth."

In our “Meet Reproductive Freedom for All” series, get to know our community—organizers and activists who believe that everybody should be free to control their own bodies and lives. Our movement is growing every day—we want you to be a part of it.
I am an organizer because I believe we must work towards the future we want.
I got involved in organizing my first year of college, 2019. I was a student organizer who did work around many issues such as racial justice, disability justice, and reproductive justice. Then and now, I believe that all social issues are connected.
How I got started as an Organizer
After graduating, I knew I wanted to continue to organize. I also knew I did not like the direction our country was heading in when it came to reproductive freedom. I could not stand by and watch my community lose access to abortion and other reproductive protections so I joined the fight.

Activism Wins
One of my biggest wins this past year has been working with reproductive freedom voters and coalition partners in Michigan to elect reproductive freedom champions such as Justice Kyra Harris Bolden (the first Black woman to be elected to the Michigan Supreme Court). It was a long election season with a big loss but smaller wins are important, too.
The Future of Advocacy
In 2025, I am excited to continue to work towards reproductive freedom. One of the biggest projects we are working on alongside youth organizers is our Reproductive Freedom College Conference Tour. This Tour will contribute another space for youth organizers to speak about reproductive issues and highlight the work they do. I believe that we can not achieve reproductive freedom without listening to everyone’s voices, including youth.
🍦 Fun fact
I am an ice cream connoisseur—I love ice cream!
