Candidate for New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District Earns Endorsement from Nation’s Leading Pro-Choice Advocacy Group
NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Amy Kennedy in her bid to represent New Jersey’s 2nd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. Amy is a former public school teacher and mental health advocate seeking to unseat Rep. Jeff Van Drew, who recently switched parties and pledged his support for Donald Trump, enabling his dangerous and extreme agenda.
“Amy Kennedy is the fighter we need in Congress to stand up for women and families in the face of relentless attacks from Donald Trump and the Radical Right,” said Ilyse Hogue, President of NARAL Pro-Choice America. “NARAL is proud to endorse her and we look forward to sending her to Congress in November. Amy will work to protect and expand abortion access instead of rubber-stamping the Trump administration’s dangerous, ideological agenda like Rep. Van Drew has. We need to protect and expand our pro-choice majority in the House to safeguard reproductive freedom.”
