Washington, DC — One year ago tomorrow, news that the U.S. Supreme Court would overturn Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision broke.
NARAL Pro-Choice America President Mini Timmaraju released the following statement in response:
“The Supreme Court leak in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health gave us an early signal of what we suspected all along: The corruption and bias of the conservative justices knows no bounds. The opinion was shocking, but hardly surprising—and it’s continued at every level of the federal judiciary since then. From the Supreme Court majority that overturned Roe to the lower courts that have targeted medication abortion care with mifepristone, we need to address the crisis we face in the federal judiciary. The answer here is simple. We need court reform, and there is no time to waste.”
