Equip yourself with the facts. Here you’ll find explainers, deep dives, and other resources on reproductive freedom.
Abortion is a common part of reproductive health care. Yet politicians intentionally spread disinformation to stigmatize it.
Our electoral efforts connect voters with opportunities to make tangible change to help build a future where everyone is free to make their own decisions about their bodies, lives, and families.
We elect reproductive freedom champions from statehouses to the White House and protect and expand abortion rights and access through ballot measures.
Under a second Trump presidency, attacks on reproductive freedom have been relentless. But we’re tracking and fighting back against this extremist anti-abortion agenda.
Project 2025 is no longer just a “plan,” it’s a checklist of extreme policies being implemented at an alarming pace.

In response to this morning’s news that the Trump administration has announced action against California over the state’s mandate that health insurance plans include coverage for abortion care, NARAL Pro-Choice California Director Shannon Hovis issued the following statement:
“Once again Donald Trump is jeopardizing the health of women for his own political agenda, making clear that he will stop at nothing to rile up his anti-choice base as they seek to overturn Roe v. Wade, ban abortion outright, and deny millions of Americans access to the care they need. An opinion from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights just four years ago confirmed that California’s insurance mandate does not violate federal law. Rather, it ensures that all individuals, regardless of income, have access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare.
This is another attempt by the Trump administration to come after California, the state that most defies his efforts to undermine reproductive freedom. Earlier this week, on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, NARAL joined California’s reproductive freedom champions to announce legislation to further expand access to abortion coverage and guarantee that no one in California is unable to access abortion because of the cost. A patient’s health should always come first, and every woman should have coverage for a full range of pregnancy-related care, including abortion.”
