Reproductive Freedom for All Celebrates as U.S. Rep Lisa Blunt Rochester is Elected as the First Black Senator of Delaware
Washington, DC — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All-endorsed candidate, Lisa Blunt Rochester was elected to the U.S. Senate, becoming the first Black senator of Delaware. Senator-elect Blunt Rochester has proven time and again that she is committed to fighting for reproductive freedom and expanding access to abortion care, consistently receiving a 100% rating from Reproductive Freedom for All.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“We are immensely proud to have supported Senator-elect Lisa Blunt Rochester, and today she’s making history as the first Black woman from Delaware to be elected into the U.S. Senate. During her tenure in Congress, she’s been a fearless champion for reproductive freedom and will be a key voice in the U.S. Senate as we work to finally pass federal abortion protections for the people of Delaware and all Americans.”
