Reproductive Freedom for All Congratulates Vice President Harris as She Becomes Presumptive Democratic Nominee
Washington, DC — Last night the country experienced a historic moment when Vice President Kamala Harris secured enough delegates to become the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee for president. She would be the first woman, the first Black woman and first person of South Asian American descent to serve as president.Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement in response:
“The unification of Democrats around Vice President Harris shows exactly how energized the party and voters are to ensure she is elected this November. Her candidacy has supercharged our movement to defeat Donald Trump, and with abortion as a top motivating issue, Vice President Harris’ path to victory is clear. Our mission in this race remains unchanged—to beat Trump, send a champion to the White House, and protect our democracy. Our 4 million members are fired up and mobilizing to elect Vice President Harris to finish the job.”
