NARAL Pro-Choice Arizona and Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee Condemn Anti-Abortion Extremists Threatening Reproductive Freedom

Phoenix, Arizona — After the release of a new memo from NARAL shining a light on “The Six Biggest Threats to Reproductive Freedom in Arizona,” NARAL Pro-Choice Arizona and Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee condemn the rampant anti-abortion extremism these legislators and organizations are pushing. Polling shows that 90% of Arizona voters agree that each of us should have the freedom to decide how and when we start or grow a family, free from political interference. Extremists pushing to block access to abortion are not only jeopardizing the health and well-being of Arizonans but are dangerously out of touch with the will of voters.
NARAL Pro-Choice America Southwest Regional Director Caroline Mello Roberson released the following statement:
“As access to abortion care remains under threat in Arizona, the Southwest, and our country at large, these dangerous extremists are more determined than ever to roll back our rights further. We can’t let that happen—and at NARAL Pro-Choice Arizona, we won’t. We’re proud to work alongside our 75,000 members and partners like the Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee to fight back so that we can realize a future where all Arizonans have true reproductive freedom.”
Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee Communications Director, Ashton Adams released the following statement:
“Extremist Republican politicians in Arizona have already done irreversible damage by enacting a 15-week abortion ban and passing countless bills aiming to dismantle reproductive freedom. Not only have they put countless lives in danger by restricting access to life-saving healthcare, but they are also out of step with the majority of Arizonans that believe in reproductive freedom. It’s time to reverse course and elect a pro-choice majority in our legislature to stop these relentless attacks.”

- Alliance Defending Freedom
- Anthony Kern (LD-27-R)
