Reproductive Freedom for All Announces First Slate of 2026 U.S. Senate Frontline Endorsements
Washington, DC — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All announced its first slate of endorsements for U.S. Senate races in some of the most competitive states of the 2026 midterm election cycle. Amid relentless attacks on abortion access, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Planned Parenthood, and democracy itself, sending reproductive freedom champions to the Senate in 2026 is critically important.
Reproductive Freedom for All is proud to endorse the following candidates for election to the U.S. Senate:
- Janet Mills (Maine)
- Chris Pappas (New Hampshire)
- Roy Cooper (North Carolina)
- Sherrod Brown (Ohio)
All four candidates have proven track records of protecting and fighting for Americans’ reproductive freedom.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“The stakes couldn’t be higher. Right now, anti-abortion extremists and Republicans in Congress are hijacking ACA negotiations to push a national abortion ban—and their attacks don’t stop there. Janet Mills, Chris Pappas, Roy Cooper, and Sherrod Brown are the champions we need in the Senate to defend our reproductive freedom and hold the Trump administration accountable. The last three election cycles have shown that voters will keep showing up to support candidates who will fight for abortion rights—and Reproductive Freedom for All is ready to help deliver historic victories and flip the Senate in 2026.”
Endorsed U.S. Senate candidates released the following statements:Â
“I am deeply grateful for the endorsement of Reproductive Freedom for All as we continue the critical fight to protect our reproductive rights,” said Governor Janet Mills. “As Governor, I have fought extremist politicians to defend and expand access to reproductive health care across Maine and to get the government out of decisions that belong squarely between a person and their doctor. But abortion rights are under assault at the federal level, and that’s why the stakes of this race couldn’t be higher. I am the only candidate in this race with a proven record of protecting reproductive freedom, and in the Senate, I’ll fight tooth and nail against any effort to further roll back these fundamental protections. Unlike Susan Collins, who has rubber stamped the right wing Supreme Court Justices who dismantled Roe, I have never treated our rights as negotiable—and I never will.”
“Reproductive Freedom for All is leading the fight to protect access to abortion and other critical health care, and I am honored to have their endorsement in my U.S. Senate race,” said Congressman Chris Pappas. “Reproductive health care is essential to keeping our communities safe, healthy, and thriving. As extreme politicians and judges try to turn back the clock on women’s rights, defending reproductive freedom demands our unwavering commitment. In the U.S. Senate, I will continue to fight for this critical care.”
“Standing up for reproductive freedom is a critical part of making sure women in North Carolina and across the country can lead safe and healthy lives,” said Roy Cooper. “I’m ready to keep fighting to protect reproductive rights in the United States Senate just like I’ve done my entire career. I’m grateful for the endorsement of Reproductive Freedom for All and for the work they do to safeguard access to reproductive health care.”
“Jon Husted supports banning abortion with no exceptions, including for the life of the mother. Ohioans deserve better than an extremist who wants to cut access to health care and jack up prices on working families,” said Sherrod Brown. “I am proud to have the support of Reproductive Freedom for All, and I will always stand for a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions, which should be between her and her doctor.”
