Reproductive Freedom for All Celebrates Attorney General Josh Stein Advancing in North Carolina Gubernatorial Race
Washington, DC — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All-endorsed candidate Attorney General Josh Stein secured the Democratic nomination for governor in North Carolina. This gubernatorial race is one of the most critical in the country in 2024, as Stein’s victory will determine if the GOP holds a trifecta in the state, clearing the way for a statewide abortion ban. Attorney General Stein has been outspoken in supporting abortion access, joining an amicus brief on the mifepristone case, suing to defend public health providers that offer abortion care from attempts to cut off their access to public health grants, and more.

“Attorney General Josh Stein has championed North Carolinians’ reproductive freedom for years, and he is the best line of defense we have against Republicans’ extremist agenda in the state. We were proud to support him in the primary, and we’re getting to work alongside our members to ensure he is North Carolina’s next governor.”
