Reproductive Freedom for All Nevada Statement on the Nevada Supreme Court Ruling in Favor of Reproductive Freedom

Reno, NV — Today, the Nevada Supreme Court affirmed that petition language filed by Nevadans for Reproductive Freedom meets the state’s requirements to be on the November ballot. The campaign—which includes Reproductive Freedom for All Nevada—has gathered more than 160,000 signatures in support of a second version of the initiative to codify abortion protections in the state constitution, and it plans to submit that petition to qualify for the 2024 ballot.

Reproductive Freedom for All Nevada Director Denise Lopez released the following statement:

“Today’s decision is a resounding victory for our movement that builds on our momentum as we fight to lock the right to reproductive freedom into our state constitution. As anti-abortion extremists continue to attack our fundamental rights — from abortion to birth control to fertility treatments — this decision recognizes that reproductive freedom includes all reproductive health care.”
