Reproductive Freedom for All Responds to 5th Circuit Court Ruling on Emergency Abortion Care

Washington, DC Yesterday, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Texas hospitals cannot be required to provide emergency abortion care.

Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:

“The Fifth Circuit Court ruling is yet another example of the cruelty and archaic vision of anti-abortion extremists in this country. Blocking people from getting life-saving abortion care is their goal, no matter the costs to real people. Americans should take them at their word and be voting like their lives depend on it, and their personal freedoms are hanging in the balance—because they are.”
