Reproductive Freedom for All Responds to U.S. House Passing Continuing Resolution
Washington, DC — Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a continuing resolution (CR) that will restore government funding, but fails to address the Republican-created health care crisis.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement in response:
“Republicans have held our government hostage, just so that they can strip away health care from millions of working families. Anti-abortion groups and politicians are already using this moment to ram through a backdoor national abortion ban, and to that we say—hell no. We are grateful to the Democratic House members who voted to defend our right to affordable health care. Funding the government and having access to a doctor should never be competing priorities.”
