⚡TL; DR (too long, didn’t read): Vote YES on Nevada’s Question 6 for Abortion Rights

If you care about reproductive freedom, you need to know about Question 6, a ballot measure to permanently protect the right to abortion in Nevada.

The context: if the name “Question 6” sounds familiar, it’s because it was on the ballot in 2024—and it passed. But under Nevada law, ballot measures must pass twice to become law.

So Question 6 is back on the ballot in 2026, along with elections for statewide officials like Governor and Attorney General.

It’s up to us to pass Question 6 for good this year and make sure abortion is always protected in Nevada.

Question 6 is the ballot measure to create a constitutional right to abortion in Nevada.

In 2024, Nevada voters approved Question 6 with 64% of the vote. Nevadans made it clear that they want the government to stay out of decisions about abortion.

But we haven’t secured the constitutional right to abortion quite yet—Question 6 will be back again in 2026.

🔎 A Closer Look: Question 6 Returns to Nevada Ballots

Under Nevada state law, a ballot measure must pass twice to become a part of the state constitution.

So in November 2026, Nevadans will need to vote yes on Question 6 a second time to permanently protect access to abortion.

Reproductive Freedom for All Nevada helped lead efforts to get Question 6 passed the first time, and we’ll be leading them again. Our team is already laying out our plans to knock doors, make phone calls, and have critical conversations with voters as we build towards the 2026 elections.

⚠️ The Stakes: Critical NV Statewide Seats Also Up for Election in 2026

At the same time that Nevadans vote to enshrine abortion access into the state constitution, they’ll also vote on statewide elections, including Governor and Attorney General.

See everyone we’ve endorsed in Nevada for the 2026 elections.

Earlier this year, Reproductive Freedom for All announced endorsements in two critical statewide races.

We made these endorsements early because governors and attorneys general are the frontline defense for our health care, and are vital to enforce ballot measures.

It’s more important than ever that states like Nevada have reproductive freedom champions up and down the ticket to protect our reproductive freedom.

✅ Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford for Governor

Aaron Ford has championed reproductive freedom throughout his career, including suing the Trump and Biden administrations to protect access to reproductive health care.

Ford is running against Trump-endorsed candidate Gov. Joe Lombardo.

✅ Nevada Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro for Nevada Attorney General

Nicole Cannizzaro is the only candidate for Attorney General who has a record of fighting for abortion rights.

She sponsored bills in the state legislature to expand access to birth control and IVF. She is also a longtime champion of Question 6.

🛩️ The Big Picture: How States like Nevada are Fighting Back Against Trump’s Anti-Abortion Plans

Abortion is legal in Nevada, but Trump and his allies will stop at nothing to ban it nationwide. They’re already trying to target providers, restrict access to birth control, and undermine the credibility of medication abortion.

We must have state laws in place—like those proposed in Question 6—that ensure people can access the care they need no matter what the Trump administration does.

By voting yes on Question 6 in 2026, Nevadans can protect abortion access and ensure that no governor, legislature or court can take that right away.
