Reproductive Freedom for All Celebrates Election of Judge Katherine Bidegaray to Montana Supreme Court
Washington, DC — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All-endorsed candidate Judge Katherine Bidegaray was elected to the Montana Supreme Court, a crucial win for the future of reproductive freedom in the state. Montana voters chose a Supreme Court that would uphold their rights. Judge Bidegaray is committed to upholding the state’s constitutional right to privacy that protects access to abortion and will play a pivotal role in deciding the future of reproductive freedom in Montana.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“State supreme courts are often on the front line of the fight for reproductive freedom in the states. Judge Katherine Bidegaray’s victory ensures that the state’s Supreme Court will continue to defend Montanans’ rights to make their own decisions about their lives, bodies, and futures. We’re proud to have supported her in her race.”
