Reproductive Freedom for All Michigan Celebrates Outcome of Michigan Supreme Court Races

Lansing, MI — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All Michigan-endorsed candidates Kimberly Ann Thomas and Justice Kyra Harris Bolden won their bids for the Michigan Supreme Court. This win is critical to protecting reproductive freedom for all Michiganders, and historic as Justice Kyra Harris Bolden is the first Black woman to be elected to the Michigan Supreme Court. Thomas and Harris Bolden have been invaluable advocates for Michiganders and their fundamental freedoms throughout their careers.

Reproductive Freedom for All Director of Michigan Campaigns Shanay Watson-Whittaker released the following statement:

“Justice Kyra Harris Bolden and Kimberly Ann Thomas are dedicated community leaders and advocates for Michiganders and their reproductive freedoms. We’re so happy to celebrate their victories in this critical race. Michiganders deserve to have a Supreme Court that will safeguard the rights they fought hard to enshrine, and these proven leaders will work to do just that .”
