Reproductive Freedom for All Celebrates Judge Chris Taylor’s Victory in Wisconsin State Supreme Court Race
Today, Judge Chris Taylor won her bid for the Wisconsin Supreme Court. This victory ensures that Wisconsinites have a fair-minded, impartial justice serving on the Supreme Court who will uphold their most fundamental rights. Throughout her campaign, Judge Taylor was unwavering in her commitment to protecting Wisconites’ access to health care, abortion, and reproductive freedom.
Ahead of election day, Reproductive Freedom for All sent over 4,000 texts to its members and co-hosted multiple phone banking events with the WI Democrats, contacting hundreds of voters across the state. In 2023, Reproductive Freedom for All made its first-ever state supreme court endorsement in Wisconsin, backing Justice Janet Protasiewicz, who flipped the court’s 15-year anti-abortion majority. Last year, Reproductive Freedom for All also mobilized its 85,000 members in Wisconsin to support Justice Susan Crawford in what became the most expensive judicial race in American history.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“Tonight, Wisconsin voters have once again made it clear that when abortion is on the ballot, they will fight to protect it. Congratulations to Judge Chris Taylor, who ran on her commitment to defending our fundamental freedoms, proving that when candidates talk about reproductive freedom, they win. State supreme courts are holding the line to protect our rights—and Wisconinites know that firsthand. Reproductive Freedom for All is proud to have supported Judge Taylor’s campaign, and looks forward to her leadership on the bench.”
