Reproductive Freedom for All Endorses Aaron Ford for Governor and Nicole Cannizzaro for Attorney General
Washington, DC — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All announced its endorsement of Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford for Governor and Nevada Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro for Nevada Attorney General. State governors and attorneys general are the frontline defense for our health care, and we look to them to protect abortion access in reproductive freedom states, like Nevada. These are the first two endorsements for statewide races ahead of the 2026 election.
Reproductive Freedom for All, President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“Aaron Ford and Nicole Cannizzaro are both relentless fighters for reproductive freedom in Nevada. Their victories will be pivotal to protecting abortion access for not only Nevadans but nationwide for people who need to travel to Nevada to get lifesaving care. Reproductive Freedom for All is proud to endorse both Aaron and Nicole in their pivotal races, and we look forward to electing them in 2026 as Nevada’s next Governor and Attorney General.”
Reproductive Freedom for All Director of Nevada Campaigns Denise Lopez released the following statement:
“Nevada needs Aaron Ford and Nicole Cannizzaro as their next Governor and Attorney General. They have been leaders and champions for reproductive freedom legislation in Nevada. They have proven time and again that they have what it takes to fight back against anti-abortion extremists. As Trump and the GOP ramp up their efforts to restrict our healthcare with their ultimate goal of banning abortion nationwide, we know that both Attorney General Aaron Ford and Senator Cannizzaro will fight to keep Nevada a reproductive freedom state. Our battle-born Nevada members are ready to get to work to elect Aaron Ford as our next Governor and Nicole Cannizzaro as our next Attorney General.”
Attorney General Aaron Ford released the following statement:
“I am proud to have the endorsement of Reproductive Freedom for All. Throughout my career, I’ve fought to protect reproductive freedom — suing both the Trump and Biden administrations to safeguard access to reproductive health care. The decision to start a family may be the most consequential decision a woman will ever make, and it should be hers alone — made in privacy with the support of her doctor and family.”
Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro released the following statement:
“The Trump administration and their MAGA allies have declared war on abortion rights and reproductive health care, and it’s critical that Nevada’s next Attorney General is ready for that fight. I’m the only candidate for Attorney General who has a record of fighting for abortion rights, and I’ve been winning those fights to protect Nevadans from anti-abortion extremists. I’m honored to accept Reproductive Freedom for All’s endorsement, and I will always defend Nevadans’ right to access the essential health care they need.”
Earlier this year, Reproductive Freedom for All endorsed Abigail Spanberger for Governor ahead of the 2025 election, and launched its first slate of endorsements in the 2026 cycle, backing frontline candidates who will be vital to protecting and retaining a strong presence of reproductive freedom champions in Congress.
In 2026, Nevada voters will also have the opportunity to vote to constitutionally protect access to abortion via a ballot measure. During the 2024 election, Question 6 passed with overwhelming support from Nevadans.
