Reproductive Freedom for All Georgia Celebrates as Voters Block Georgia House Republican Supermajority

Atlanta, GA — Today, voters in Georgia rejected anti-abortion extremists and prevented Republicans from securing a supermajority in the Georgia State House of Representatives. As extremists in the state work to further restrict abortion and other reproductive health care, it is vital that Georgians have leaders in the General Assembly who will fight for their fundamental rights and work to stop the damage caused by Georgia’s abortion bans.

Reproductive Freedom for All Director of Georgia Campaigns Alicia Stallworth released the following statement:

“Georgians showed up at the polls to elect candidates who would fight for their rights and stop anti-abortion Republicans from gaining more power. We are ready to work alongside our champions in the state House to not only resist these attacks but to work to dismantle the abortion ban once and for all. This fight is far from over, and we will not back down.”
