Mini Timmaraju, President and CEO

Mini Timmaraju is a seasoned campaigner, skilled coalition-builder, high-impact organizer, and talented organizational leader.

Mini has over 20 years of experience leading federal, state and local campaigns, as well as advocacy efforts around reproductive rights, gender justice, and racial justice.

She has a wealth of governmental and political experience at the state and federal level. Most recently, Mini served as Senior Advisor to the Director at the Office of Personnel Management in the Biden-Harris Administration, where she advised the OPM Director and agency leadership on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility policy, strategy, and best practices.

Previously, she served as Hillary for America’s National Women’s Vote Director, leading the campaign’s strategic work to maximize women’s participation in the election. She has a longstanding commitment to the fight for access to the full range of reproductive healthcare, including abortion care. She worked at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast and Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas Action Fund and played a key role at the Planned Parenthood Federation of America as Director of the Office of the President.

She has extensive experience working in and with diverse communities and constituencies, both in her role in the Biden-Harris administration and as National Director of the National Council of Asian Pacific Americans, where she managed legislative, advocacy and communications strategy for a coalition of 34 Asian Pacific American organizations, and as Executive Director of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team for Comcast Corporation. Prior to her role leading diversity, equity, and inclusion at Comcast, she worked on the company’s External Affairs team, where she served as a liaison between Comcast and external stakeholders including advocacy organizations, political organizations, and public policy groups.

She’s also served as Chief of Staff to Representative Ami Bera M.D. (D, CA-7) and district director for Rep. Nick Lampson (D, TX-22). In addition, she has held a number of leadership positions in state and local political organizations in South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Texas and New Delhi, India.

Mini received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California-Berkeley and her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center where she was the recipient of the Joan Garfinkle Glantz award for outstanding work in the field of civil rights and the Class of 1999 Distinguished Service Award. She and her husband have two children.
