ICYMI: Reproductive Freedom for All Nevada’s Denise Lopez Joins Senate Majority Leader Cannizzaro and Attorney General Ford to Condemn Lombardo’s SB 217 Veto
Last week, Reproductive Freedom for All Director of Nevada Campaigns Denise Lopez joined State Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro and Attorney General Aaron Ford in Las Vegas to condemn Governor Lombardo’s veto of SB 217, a bill that would expand in-vitro fertilization (IVF) coverage significantly.
Watch the press event here:

SB 217, which passed through Nevada’s legislative session with bipartisan support, sought to expand access to fertility care by lowering costs, protecting providers, and protecting the right to IVF treatment against Republican efforts to ban it. It would have made Nevada the first state in the country to provide Medicaid coverage for comprehensive fertility care.
Governor Lombardo’s veto of SB 217 makes it exceedingly clear that he does not support Nevada’s access to reproductive care.
Lopez provided additional commentary on SB217 in Spanish here (Timestamp 3:15).
