Defeat of anti-choice, anti-freedom Republican candidate Lisa Scheller is a win for Pennsylvanians and reproductive freedom
Pennsylvania— On Tuesday, voters in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District reelected NARAL-endorsed incumbent Rep. Susan Wild to the U.S. House of Representatives. Wild’s victory over anti-choice, anti-freedom Republican Lisa Scheller marks a huge win for reproductive freedom and keeps a critical seat in the House.
In response to Wild’s victory, NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue released the following statement:
“During Representative Wild’s time in the U.S. House of Representatives, she has fought for reproductive freedom time and again. We are thankful to have Representative Wild with us in the fight for our fundamental rights and look forward to continuing our work together to protect and expand reproductive freedom.”
In the 2020 election cycle, NARAL Pro-Choice America ran its largest-ever electoral program designed to reach, persuade, and mobilize key voters in target states across the country who are motivated by Trump and Republicans’ unyielding attacks on reproductive freedom.
