Defeat of anti-choice, anti-freedom Republican candidate Jim Oberweis is a win for Illinoisans and reproductive freedom
Illinois — On Election Day, voters in Illinois’ 14th Congressional District reelected NARAL-endorsed incumbent Representative Lauren Underwood to the U.S. House of Representatives. Her victory over anti-choice, anti-freedom Republican candidate Jim Oberweis marks a huge win for reproductive freedom and keeps a critical seat in the House.
In response to Underwood’s victory, NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue released the following statement:
“During her time in the U.S. House of Representatives, Rep. Lauren Underwood has fought for reproductive freedom time and again. During her time in office, Rep. Underwood earned a 100% score on NARAL’s Congressional Record on Choice. We are thankful to have Rep.
