NARAL Pro-Choice America Foundation Releases Final Ad in Key States as Part of Multi-Million Dollar Program
Washington, DC — Today, NARAL Pro-Choice America Foundation released “Nationwide,” its closing ad that is part of our $2.2 million c3 ad program running in Michigan, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Nevada aimed at educating voters about the importance of reproductive freedom. The ad shines a light on the fact that anti-choice extremists want a national ban on abortion that would put a ban on abortion care in place in every state in the country.
NARAL Pro-Choice America President Mini Timmaraju release the following statement:
“Reproductive freedom is in crisis and extremists want to take it further and put in place a national ban on abortion. The stakes could not be higher, and we need every single one of the 8 in 10 Americans to fight back with us.”
In June, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization—ending the constitutional right to abortion and opening the door for extremist state lawmakers to put total bans on abortion in place. This decision is already having a devastating impact throughout the country as 15 states are now enforcing extreme or total bans on abortion. The people hurt most by attacks on reproductive freedom are those who already face barriers to accessing abortion care—including women; Black, Indigenous, and other people of color; those working to make ends meet; the LGBTQ+ community; immigrants; young people; those living in rural communities; and people with disabilities.
