Washington, DC — Today, NARAL Pro-Choice America reaffirmed its support for Rep. Jahana Hayes (CT-05) and disavowed the deceptive practices of her GOP opponent, whose campaign materials falsely suggested support from NARAL.
NARAL Pro-Choice America President Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“We’ve seen Republican candidates all across the country running from and lying about their position on abortion, but sending deceptive mailers to imply an endorsement that doesn’t exist is a new low. Let’s be clear: There is only one candidate in the CT-05 race who is endorsed by NARAL: Rep. Jahana Hayes. She’s the reproductive freedom champion that Connecticut needs with the record to prove it.”
