Defeat of anti-choice, anti-freedom Republican candidate Amanda Adkins is a win for Kansans and reproductive freedom
Kansas — Today, voters in Kansas’ 3rd Congressional District reelected NARAL-endorsed incumbent Representative Sharice Davids (D-KS) to the U.S. House of Representatives. Her victory over anti-choice, anti-freedom Republican candidate Amanda Adkins marks a huge win for reproductive freedom and keeps a critical seat in the House.
In response to Davids’ victory, NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue released the following statement:
“We are proud to have endorsed Representative Sharice Davids, a proven champion for reproductive freedom, and congratulate her on winning this critical race. We know that Rep. Davids will continue to be a fierce defender of our fundamental rights in the U.S. House of Representatives—and we need elected officials like her now more than ever.”
NARAL endorsed Davids as part of its largest-ever electoral program. The historic program reached over 3 million voters in key states, including Kansas, through its historic 2020 electoral program.
