Reproductive Freedom for All Applauds Confirmation of Judge Nicole Berner to Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals
Washington, DC — Today, Senate Democrats confirmed President Biden’s nomination of Judge Nicole Berner to serve on the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Berner previously served as general counsel at the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and advanced reproductive freedom as an attorney for Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

“Judge Nicole Berner is a sharp, fair legal expert. She understands that reproductive freedom is a fundamental right, and we applaud Senate Democrats for confirming her to the Fourth Circuit. Ensuring that fair-minded judges sit on federal courts is essential to protecting our rights and democracy, and we’re grateful to the Biden-Harris administration for making nominations that recognize this.”
