Washington, DC — Today, at the start of another consequential Supreme Court term and after ProPublica released yet another report detailing his blatant corruption last week, Reproductive Freedom for All demands the resignation of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and if he will not, for Congress to impeach him. This latest report and Reproductive Freedom for All’s demand for his resignation comes after a deluge of revelations on Justice Thomas’ bending to the influence of billionaire GOP mega-donors like Harlan Crow and the Koch Brothers who have lined his pockets or treated him and his wife to luxuries.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“From cozying up to billionaire donors to shady financial dealings, these reports have exposed Clarence Thomas for the corrupt justice he is. We will not tolerate his gleeful gutting of our freedoms while he takes gifts from GOP mega-donors. To restore faith in the Court, he must resign—and since we know he won’t, Congress should impeach him.”
