Reproductive Freedom for All Celebrates As Arizona Governor Certifies Results of Historic Abortion Access Measure
Washington, DC — Today, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs certified Proposition 139, the ballot measure that will enshrine abortion rights into the state’s constitution following its overwhelming passage by voters on Election Day.
Reproductive Freedom for All Director of Arizona Campaigns Athena Salman released the following statement:
“This is a transformational moment for Arizona. With the certification of this constitutional amendment establishing a fundamental right to abortion, the voters have overwhelmingly made it clear that Arizona will lead in protecting reproductive freedom. This is a win for all Arizonans—of every background, political affiliation, and walk of life—who believe in the right to make our own decisions about our bodies and futures.”
