Reproductive Freedom for All Celebrates as Angela Alsobrooks Wins Maryland’s Senate Race
Washington, DC — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All-endorsed candidate Angela Alsobrooks won her race for the U.S. Senate in Maryland. Alsobrooks is committed to reproductive freedom, and particularly expanding access to Black and Brown communities. Alsobrooks is the first Black woman to be elected to represent Maryland in the Senate. Reproductive Freedom for All was one of the first national abortion rights groups to endorse her Senate campaign.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“Angela Alsobrooks is a fierce reproductive freedom champion, and Maryland voters responded by sending her to the Senate. We are thrilled to congratulate Senator-elect Alsobrooks and look forward to working alongside her to restore the federal right to abortion and expand access nationwide.”
