Reproductive Freedom for All Celebrates as Arizona Reproductive Freedom Champions Advance to November Ballot

Washington, DC — Last night, 16 Reproductive Freedom for All-endorsed candidates for critical Arizona seats won their primary elections and will advance to the November ballot. These victories lay the groundwork for Arizonans to elect reproductive freedom champions who will expand access to reproductive health and abortion care and defend Arizonans’ fundamental rights and freedoms from attacks from anti-abortion extremists.

Reproductive Freedom for All is proud to celebrate the following candidates advancing to the November ballot in Arizona:

  • Katie Hobbs (Governor)
  • Kris Mayes (Attorney General)
  • Adrian Fontes (Secretary of State)
  • Lauren Kuby (Senate, LD-8)
  • Kristie O’Brien (Senate, LD-13)
  • Priya Sundareshan (Senate, LD-18)
  • Stephanie Simacek (House, LD-2)
  • Karen Gresham (House, LD-4)

Reproductive Freedom for All Director of Arizona Campaigns Athena Salman released the following statement:

“Arizonans have made clear they want abortion access protected, and they expect their elected leaders to deliver. Last night’s victories delivered a slate of champions for November who are committed to removing barriers to care while defending the protections that voters worked hard to secure through Prop 139. We’re proud to celebrate these wins, and we look forward to working alongside these candidates to cement a robust reproductive freedom majority statewide.”

Reproductive Freedom for All is investing on the ground earlier and in more places than ever before as part of its historic My Body. My Ballot. campaign—including in Arizona, where mobilizing voters to reelect key champions like Governor Katie Hobbs, Attorney General Kris Mayes, and Secretary of State Adrian Fontes is more critical than ever.
