Reproductive Freedom for All Endorses Sen. Bob Casey for Reelection to the U.S. Senate
Washington, DC — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All endorsed Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) for reelection to the U.S. Senate. Senator Casey has vowed to support legislation to lock the federal right to abortion into law while his opponent wants to ban abortion without exceptions for rape and incest.
Reproductive Freedom for All President Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“Senator Casey is meeting the moment and recognizes that action is needed to protect abortion rights and access nationwide. With anti-abortion Republicans like David McCormick more focused than ever on a national ban, we need Sen. Casey in the Senate to defend our rights. Pennsylvanians are ready to vote their values again this November—and our members in the state are ready and mobilizing in their communities to help send Sen. Casey back to Washington.”
U.S. Senator Bob Casey released the following statement:
“Women’s rights are at stake in this election, including access to reproductive healthcare, IVF, and contraception. The difference between me and my opponent is clear: When Roe v. Wade was overturned, my opponent said it made him very, very happy. I voted for the Women’s Health Protection Act to restore the protections of Roe. I’m grateful for the support of Reproductive Freedom for All in this critical election – together we’ll keep fighting to protect these critical rights for people across Pennsylvania and across the country.”
