Reproductive Freedom for All Foundation and Men4Choice Partner to Launch New Campaign Encouraging Men to Join the Fight for Reproductive Freedom
Washington, DC — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All Foundation and Men4Choice announced the launch of a new campaign aimed at activating, educating, and mobilizing men to stand up for reproductive freedom. The six-figure ad buy targets young men in Arizona, ages 18-34, and aims to destigmatize abortion care by encouraging male-identifying allies to get involved in the fight.
The effort aims to educate men about how issues around reproductive freedom impact all of us. The ad features three young men studying in a college library when a notification about a six-week abortion ban comes in. They discuss the impacts of the restrictive law, and how unprepared they feel — financially and emotionally — to be fathers. In the end, they agree: The government shouldn’t be forcing anyone into that situation.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“With abortion rights under relentless attack, now is the time for all of us, across genders and including men, to stand up and protect our fundamental freedoms. We know we are going to need everybody this fall. We’re proud to partner with Men4Choice as they launch this powerful campaign to ensure men are active participants in the movement for reproductive freedom.”
Men4Choice Executive Director Oren Jacobson said:
“For too long, men who support reproductive freedom have sat on the sidelines while other men have used their power to ban and criminalize abortion. We’re working to change that and get men off the sidelines and into this fight. This campaign is designed to make clear that we’re all stakeholders in the fight for reproductive freedom with something to lose. No politician or judge should have the power to control if, when, or how we build our families and there’s no such thing as freedom for someone who doesn’t have the power to control their own body and reproductive decisions.”
In the last year alone, Men4Choice trained more than 125 new youth organizers, organized more than 350 educational events, and brought over 2,000 young men into the movement. They also partnered with the Second Gentleman, Doug Emhoff and tested the impact of their organizing model with researchers at Yale. This campaign is part of a larger effort to engage men across the country in the fight for reproductive freedom.

For over 50 years, Reproductive Freedom for All (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America) has fought to protect and advance reproductive freedom at the federal and state levels—including access to abortion care, birth control, pregnancy and post-partum care, and paid family leave—for everybody. Reproductive Freedom for All is powered by its more than 4 million members from every state and congressional district in the country, representing the 8 in 10 Americans who support legal abortion.
Men4Choice Education, the organization’s 501(c)3 arm, is focused on educating male allies about the reality of the fight for reproductive rights, the harm unjust and oppressive laws are causing, and how they can engage effectively as allies. We use political education, digital campaigns, educational forums, community and peer-to-peer organizing to move men from being passive supporters to informed and active allies in the movement.
