Reproductive Freedom for All Nevada Calls Out Gov. Lombardo’s Embrace of Abortion Ban

Reno, Nevada — In an interview published in the Nevada Independent, Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo noted his support for a state-wide abortion ban that flies in the face of the values of Nevadans. Polling shows that 4 in 5 voters in the state—one of the few places in the nation with a voter-affirmed right to abortion—want the government to stay out of decisions about abortion.

“Governor Lombardo’s embrace of a state-wide abortion ban shows exactly how out-of-touch he is with Nevadans. Despite the fact that a consensus of voters in our state support abortion rights, he is still willing to throw their values and well-being under the bus to advance an extremist agenda.
