Reproductive Freedom for All Nevada Statement on Reproductive Freedom Bills
Carson City, NV — Governor Lombardo signed three Reproductive Freedom bills into law, while vetoing two. After months of organizing and urging from Nevadans, the governor signed into law AB235, AB176 and AB266. He then vetoed AB411 and AB205. These vetoes further his extreme, anti-reproductive freedom agenda and prove he cannot be trusted to support Nevadans’ reproductive rights.
Reproductive Freedom for All Director of Nevada Campaigns Denise Lopez released the following statement:
“After months of organizing and urging from our members, Governor Lombardo has finally realized that his extreme, anti-abortion agenda is wildly unpopular with voters. In splitting his decision on these five reproductive freedom bills, the Governor is trying to walk a fine line of putting up a facade of supporting protections for reproductive rights while vetoing critical legislation to appease his extreme anti-abortion base. However, in 2026, when both Lombardo and the constitutional amendment to protect abortion are on the ballot, we will not let voters forget about this shallow attempt to score political points by ignoring our efforts to protect reproductive care.”
