Reproductive Freedom for All on Colorado Primary Election Results

Washington, DC — Yesterday, Congresswoman Diana DeGette lost her bid for CO-01. Congresswoman DeGette has been a reproductive freedom champion for over three decades. In addition to serving as the co-chair of the Reproductive Freedom Caucus and spearheading federal efforts to protect reproductive freedom, she wrote one of the country’s first bills to protect patients and providers entering reproductive health care clinics during her time in the Colorado Legislature—a year before the federal Freedom to Access Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act was enacted.

Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:

“Congresswoman DeGette has led the fight for reproductive rights for over three decades. She has cemented herself as a true champion for reproductive freedom and health care access, and has never wavered on delivering for the people in her district and beyond. We are grateful for her leadership and look forward to working with her to continue protecting and advancing reproductive freedom. ”
