Reproductive Freedom for All Responds to Senate GOP Blocking Democrats’ Efforts to Protect IVF Yet Again
Washington, DC — Today, for the third time this year, Republicans in the U.S. Senate blocked an effort from Senate Democrats to federally protect and expand access to in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and other fertility treatments. The Senate vote comes amid backpedaling and flip-flopping from Trump and his Republican allies as they realize how unpopular their extreme policy agendas are, and the power that reproductive freedom carries in this election.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“The extremist agenda of the MAGA GOP was never limited to attacking abortion—they’re also targeting IVF, birth control, and other fundamental freedoms. With less than 50 days until the election, Americans are watching. Senators were given a chance to show us what they actually believe and they did. Voters will not be fooled by extremists’ lies.”
