Washington, DC — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All marks the third anniversary of Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court. The warping of norms that allowed her hasty confirmation underscores exactly how crucial it is to elect reproductive freedom champions to the Senate and the White House.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“When Donald Trump and Senate Republicans put Amy Coney Barrett on the bench, they endangered abortion rights for decades to come. Now, it’s up to voters and reproductive freedom champions to restore the legitimacy of our federal judiciary, and it starts with winning big in 2024. Every senator who voted to confirm Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court should be on notice: Voters are tired of seeing anti-abortion ideologues trample on their rights, and they’re already mobilizing to do something about it.”
