Sex Ed for All is a national movement to ensure every young person has access to comprehensive, accurate, and inclusive sex education.

Coordinated by the Sex Education Collaborative and a national coalition of sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice organizations, Sex Ed for All Month is a commitment to ensuring equitable and accessible sex education for everyone during May.

Sex education is essential.

It helps young people build healthy relationships, develop critical thinking skills, and stay safe in a complex world. When young people have access to sex education that’s accurate and inclusive, they’re empowered to make informed decisions about their health and futures.

But in 2025, the fight for sex education is more urgent than ever.

Take Action

The Fight for Sex Ed Is a Fight for Reproductive Freedom

Anti-abortion extremist groups are targeting sex education as another tactic to strip us of our right to bodily autonomy.

For decades, they’ve used misinformation, fear-mongering, and abstinence-only sex education to limit young people’s ability to learn about their health. Now, by following the ultra-conservative Project 2025 playbook, they’re trying everything from curriculum censorship to attacks on LGBTQ+ students.

Sex Ed for All Month is about pushing back, telling the truth, and fighting for young people. It’s up to us to advocate for sex education that is comprehensive, medically accurate, and inclusive.

What Sex Ed Really Teaches (Hint: It’s Not Just About Sex)

Sex ed is more than just "the talk." It’s learning:

✅ how to set boundaries

✅ how to respect others

✅ how to spot misinformation

✅ how to have healthy relationships

✅ how to navigate puberty, identity, and growing up

From kindergarten through high school, age-appropriate sex ed gives young people the tools they need to thrive.

Let’s fight misinformation with facts. Learn more about sex education from the Sex Education Collaborative.

Take Action: Sex Ed Is Under Attack—This Is How We Fight Back.

The Real Education and Access for Healthy Youth Act (REAHYA) is a transformative bill that would redirect funding away from harmful abstinence-only programs and into inclusive, medically accurate, trauma-informed sex education and health services for young people—especially those most impacted by systemic inequities.

We need your voice now to protect young people’s rights and futures.

Please take a few minutes to write to your elected officials and urge them to co-sponsor the Sex Ed for All Month Resolution and the REAHYA bill.
