Expanding Reproductive Freedom in Nevada: Lobby Day Recap

This is our moment to urge our state lawmakers to prioritize, protect, and expand reproductive freedom for Nevadans

Thanks to our successful organizing efforts in 2024, we have a majority in the state legislature and the opportunity to meaningfully advance reproductive health care access in Nevada.

Now, we’re working to make sure our state legislators hear us loud and clear and act on the will of the people during the 2025 legislative session.

During this year’s Lobby Day, our volunteers came out in droves at the Nevada State Capitol to talk with lawmakers and advocate for legislation that would protect reproductive freedom in our state.

Tell Nevada Lawmakers to Pass Reproductive Freedom Bills

A number of bills are moving through the Nevada state legislative session this year, and our state lawmakers need to know they should be prioritizing, protecting, and expanding reproductive freedom.

Send messages to your Nevada lawmakers urging them to pass four key bills that would further protect reproductive freedom.

Members met with their elected officials to lobby in favor of Reproductive Freedom for All Nevada’s supported bills, which legislators reviewed and debated in committee hearings throughout the day.

Our members gave testimony in committee hearings and advocated for the following bills:

  • AB176 introduces the Right to Reproductive Health Care Act that blocks the state government from restricting access to reproductive health care and allows Nevadans to sue if this right is violated.
  • AB411 protects abortion providers by allowing an option for practitioners to include their practice’s name instead of their own name on medication abortion prescription labels.
  • AB235 further safeguards abortion providers’ privacy by allowing them to request their personal information, such as their home address, be kept confidential.
  • AB266 aims to protect and support Nevadans’ right to breastfeed by increasing public education and boosting existing anti-discrimination laws.
