What's New at Repro for All Toplines
With the 2025 legislative session in full swing, state lawmakers are already introducing bills to undermine abortion access and attack reproductive freedom. But our community is showing up to make sure they hear directly from the people they represent.
Your state lawmakers have the power to pass legislation that will shape our daily lives—from bills on abortion rights to birth control access to IVF.
As a constituent, your opinion matters—make it count.
Tell them loud and clear: you support reproductive freedom, and you're paying attention.
On Lobby Day organizers and advocates from across Georgia came together to meet with lawmakers and push back against extremist policies.
The day began with a Capitol tour and meetings with supportive legislators, including Senator Jason Esteves. Meanwhile, Chair Tanya Miller and Representative Park Cannon—both staunch reproductive freedom champions—remained on the House floor to oppose harmful legislation.

A powerful press conference followed, joined by Representative Robert Flournoy, and featuring remarks from Representative Shea Roberts, Senate Minority Leader Harold Jones, and Alicia Stallworth, Director of Georgia Campaigns at Reproductive Freedom for All. Each speaker brought the same resounding message: the fight for reproductive freedom is urgent, and we won’t back down.
Additionally, Planned Parenthood Southeast Advocates joined us to expose the growing crisis of reproductive care in the state and demand urgent legislative action.

Finally, Shanette Williams courageously shared her daughter’s story. Amber Nicole Thurman was a 28-year-old mother who tragically died after she couldn’t access legal abortion care in Georgia. The state’s maternal mortality review committee found that Amber’s death was preventable and said a delay in care had a “large” impact.
Her case was among the first documented deaths caused by delayed or denied abortion care due to Georgia’s abortion ban. Alarmingly, state officials dismissed all members of Georgia’s Maternal Mortality Committee shortly following ProPublica’s reporting on Amber’s story (and now state officials won’t say who the new members are).
This is unacceptable. But together, we’re making our voices heard to demand change.

Recently we partnered with key organizations for lobby days and to hold state legislators accountable.

Our reproductive rights advocates continue to mobilize Georgians through political and community organizing. Explore our Georgia State Chapter work.
Last year, Georgia voters prevented a Republican supermajority in the State House of Representatives—a critical win and no small feat! We are moving toward making Georgia a state where reproductive rights are protected for everyone.
Still, Georgians are suffering a real and horrifying health crisis due to restrictive abortion bans, forced to navigate dangerous restrictions that endanger their lives and well-being.
Our members remain committed to ensuring access to abortion, birth control, and paid family leave. The work continues, and we invite you to get involved in shaping Georgia’s future.
