ICYMI: Reproductive Freedom for All California Marks Four Years Since Dobbs With Week of Action Events

Last week, Reproductive Freedom for All California marked the four-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization—which stripped away the federal right to abortion access—with a series of Week of Action events to mobilize voters, engage volunteers, and reaffirm California’s commitment to protecting reproductive freedom.

The Week of Action coincided with the launch of Reproductive Freedom for All’s national My Body. My Ballot. campaign, the organization’s largest-ever midterm electoral program. The $23.5 million investment will mobilize voters, hold anti-abortion politicians accountable, and help elect leaders who will protect reproductive freedom in states across the country. California continues to play a critical role in protecting access to reproductive health care, and abortion remains one of the most salient issues ahead of the November midterms.

On June 24, volunteers gathered for Calls for California: Dobbs Day Phonebank, where members made hundreds of calls to voters across the state and discussed what is at stake in the 2026 midterm elections. Volunteers emphasized the importance of protecting reproductive freedom and ensuring voters understand how anti-abortion politicians continue to threaten access to care nationwide.

On June 27, volunteers participated in Knock Doors for Reproductive Freedom: Derek Tran for Congress, connecting directly with voters to get out to vote for reproductive freedom champion Rep. Derek Tran and highlight the importance of electing leaders who will protect reproductive freedom and reject political interference in personal medical decisions.

Four years after Dobbs, California has set an example of what a safe haven for reproductive freedom looks like, and has continued to demonstrate that voters support reproductive freedom and reject political interference in personal medical decisions. But the work does not end there. Leading up to November, Reproductive Freedom for All California will continue organizing its nearly 500,000 members across the state, engaging voters, and building the political power needed to protect reproductive freedom and ensure anti-abortion politicians are held accountable at the ballot box.
