Illinois — Today, NARAL-endorsed candidate Betsy Dirksen Londrigan lost her bid for election to the U.S. House of Representatives in Illinois’ 13th Congressional District.
NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue released the following statement in response:
“While we had hoped to see a different outcome in this race, NARAL Pro-Choice America and our members will never stop fighting for the 77% of Americans who believe in the legal right to abortion. There’s no question that Representative Rodney Davis’ record on reproductive freedom is wildly out of touch with the views of the vast majority of Americans. We are proud to have stood with Betsy Dirksen Londrigan as she gave Rep. Davis a run for his money in this tight race.”
Anti-choice, anti-freedom Republican Rep. Rodney Davis has consistently earned a 0% score from NARAL in the Congressional Record on Choice.
