Reproductive Freedom for All Celebrates as Pennsylvania Voters Elect Reproductive Freedom Trifecta
Harrisburg, PA — Today, Pennsylvania voters flipped the state Senate, electing a reproductive freedom majority to the chamber for the first time since 1994. With this victory, Pennsylvania voters have secured a pro-reproductive freedom trifecta for the first time in over two decades.
Reproductive Freedom for All Director of State Campaigns Pavitra Abraham released the following statement:
“Pennsylvanians just broke the gridlock. For years, the State Senate has been where reproductive freedom bills passed by the Democratic House went to die. Tonight, voters flipped the chamber and sent in champions who will move them forward. With a trifecta in place, Pennsylvania has a historic opportunity to protect reproductive freedom and stop new restrictions from taking hold.”
Reproductive Freedom for All backed candidates in key Pennsylvania Senate races through My Body. My Ballot., a $23.5 million campaign and the organization’s largest-ever midterm electoral program. The campaign mobilizes the 8 in 10 Americans who support legal abortion and holds anti-abortion politicians accountable at the ballot box. To help secure this critical victory, Reproductive Freedom for All mobilized its nearly 200,000 members in the state.
