Reproductive Freedom for All Celebrates Ohio Court Striking Down Abortion Ban
Washington, DC — Today, an Ohio court ruled to permanently block the state’s six-week abortion ban, honoring the citizen-led ballot initiative that voters overwhelmingly approved last November. The state’s six-week abortion ban has not been in effect.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“Today is a great day for reproductive freedom in Ohio. Last year, Ohioans made history when they overwhelmingly voted to enshrine abortion rights in their state constitution. We applaud the court’s decision today to permanently end Ohio’s ban, and are excited to continue working with our partners and champions in the state to ensure that reproductive freedom and abortion access is a reality for all in the Buckeye State.”
