Reproductive Freedom for All Condemns Trump’s Anti-Abortion Executive Orders, Including Global Gag Rule
Washington, DC — Today, Republican President Donald Trump signed a series of anti-abortion executive orders, reinstating the global gag rule, doubling down on the administration’s support of the discriminatory Hyde Amendment, and rescinding two Biden executive orders related to abortion access.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“During his campaign, Trump tried to downplay his role in overturning Roe v. Wade. And now he has spent his first week in office handing down anti-abortion directives gutting federal protections. These policies inflict harm on those who need access to reproductive health care, including abortion, in our country, and around the world— and we will fight back.”
