Reproductive Freedom for All Endorses Chris Mann for Kansas Attorney General
Washington, DC — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All announced its endorsement of Chris Mann for Kansas attorney general. A longtime civil servant and prosecutor, Mann has built his career serving Kansans and protecting the public. He has cemented himself as a reproductive freedom champion who will hold the line against attacks on abortion access in Kansas.
Mann’s opponent, Kris Kobach, was among Kansas Republicans who supported a proposed amendment to the state constitution that would have nullified the right to abortion in 2022. The amendment was decisively rejected by Kansas voters, and Mann has committed to respecting and defending that constitutional right if elected as attorney general.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“Chris Mann has dedicated his career to serving Kansans and giving back to his community, and we are proud to endorse his bid to be the next attorney general of Kansas. Kansans made clear that they support reproductive freedom when they blocked Republicans from stripping their constitutional right to abortion away in 2022, but Kris Kobach continues to attack reproductive freedom every chance he gets. Kansans deserve an attorney general like Mann who has their back and will stop attacks from anti-abortion extremists.”

“I am honored to have the support of Reproductive Freedom for All as I work to become Kansas’s next attorney general. Personal medical decisions should be made between a woman and her doctor, not a woman and her politician. Kansans voted overwhelmingly in 2022 to protect a woman’s right to bodily autonomy. Yet my opponent continues to try to undermine the will of Kansas voters and restrict Kansans’ access to reproductive health care. As attorney general, I will respect the will of Kansas voters, enforce the law, and protect the Constitution.”
