Reproductive Freedom for All Endorses Slate of Candidates for the North Carolina General Assembly

Washington, DC — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All endorsed a slate of candidates for the North Carolina General Assembly ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. The slate includes seven candidates for the state Senate and three for the state House.

Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:

“North Carolina’s extreme abortion ban puts lives at risk: Ciji Graham should be alive today, but the state’s abortion restrictions delayed lifesaving care until it was too late. We are proud to endorse candidates who will fight to repeal this deadly ban and restore North Carolinians’ freedom to make their own health care decisions.”

Reproductive Freedom for All Director of State Campaigns Pavitra Abraham released the following statement:

“North Carolinians deserve leaders who put their health care first—yet the General Assembly’s latest budget directs more than $10 million in taxpayer dollars to fake clinics that mislead patients and delay real care. We’re proud to support candidates committed to advancing reproductive freedom in the state legislature.”

Reproductive Freedom for All is also proud to endorse the following candidates for the North Carolina Legislature:

North Carolina Senate

  • Roy Surrett, SD-02
  • Jess Rivera, SD-04
  • James Gailliard, SD-11
  • Haseeb Fatmi, SD-18
  • Southey Blanton, SD-25
  • April Cook, SD-34
  • Woodson Bradley, SD-42

North Carolina House

  • Lorenza Wilkins, HD-25
  • Ken McCool, HD-105
  • Lindsey Prather, HD-115

These endorsements are part of Reproductive Freedom for All’s historic My Body. My Ballot. midterm program. The campaign is mobilizing the 8 in 10 Americans who support reproductive freedom and reaching voters across the country to elect reproductive freedom champions up and down the ballot.

Earlier today, Reproductive Freedom for All announced its endorsement of Justice Anita Earls for reelection to the North Carolina Supreme Court. The organization has also endorsed Roy Cooper for the U.S. Senate, as well as Richard Ojeda (NC-09), Jamie Ager (NC-11) and Alma Adams (NC-12) for the U.S. House.
