Sacramento, CA — Today, Reproductive Freedom for All endorsed Xavier Becerra for Governor and a slate of candidates for key statewide races and the California State Legislature. The endorsements come amid continued federal efforts to restrict abortion access and are part of the organization’s nationwide campaign to elect candidates who support reproductive freedom at every level of government.
Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:
“We need leaders—from the statehouse to the governor’s office—who will not waver on putting reproductive freedom first and fighting back against the GOP’s national anti-abortion agenda. California has been a leader in defending reproductive freedom, and these candidates will ensure the state remains a reproductive freedom safe haven if elected.”
Reproductive Freedom for All Senior Director of California Campaigns Kristin Slevin released the following statement:
“With so much at stake in this year’s midterm elections, these champions are the bold leaders California needs to hold the line against attacks on reproductive freedom and ensure the state remains a beacon of protections for abortion access. With less than a month until Election Day, we’ll spend every second getting Californians ready to send these leaders to Sacramento in November.”
Reproductive Freedom for All is proud to endorse the following candidates for election to the California Legislature:
