Reproductive Freedom for All Michigan Unveils Billboards Reminding Voters that Reps. Barrett and James are Hiding After Supporting the Deadly Budget Bill
Lansing, MI – Reproductive Freedom for All Michigan is unveiling billboards in Tom Barrett and John James’ districts, urging these representatives to vote against the deadly budget bill that will force 2 million Michiganders off of Medicaid and gut funding for Planned Parenthood. Both Barrett and James have avoided town halls since casting their votes for this bill, and they are refusing to defend their support with voters.
Reproductive Freedom for All Director of Michigan Campaigns Shanay Watson-Whittaker released the following statement:
“Tom Barrett and John James cast their votes in support of the deadly budget bill that will gut funding for Planned Parenthood and take away health care for thousands of Michiganders. Reproductive Freedom for All Michigan is proudly displaying these billboards because we are refusing to let our leaders get away with taking away our care, and then hiding from us when we demand answers.”
