Reproductive Freedom for All Statement on Supreme Court Decision Paving the Way to Grant Donald Trump Complete Immunity from Jan. 6th Capital Insurrection

Washington, DC — Today, the U.S. Supreme Court paved the way for Trump’s immunity from his attempts to overturn the 2020 election following the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th.

Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:

“As Justice Sotomayor said in her dissent, ‘No man is above the law.’ Donald Trump is a direct threat to our democracy and this is just another egregious example of the court actively undermining democracy to allocate more power for itself. We can and will do everything to mobilize our team on the ground to reelect the Biden-Harris Administration, who will fight for our democracy, not try to tear it down, and who will protect our fundamental freedom to make decisions about our bodies and futures. And to ensure we can continue to protect our rights, we will continue to mobilize for meaningful court reform.”
